Soccer Rhode Island and Active Youth Network, LLC have announced a partnership to generate revenue for Rhode Island’s youth soccer clubs.
Soccer Rhode Island, the state association with 43 soccer clubs is joining forces with Active Youth Network (AYN) expanding its’ national online advertising network to New England.
AYN was created with the mission to provide financial support for youth sports clubs, schools and families, which have seen the cost of participation increase dramatically over the last decade. By connecting youth sports websites into an online ad network AYN will offer a highly desirable and targeted audience for family friendly advertisers.
"The key to our business model is that we are giving 70% of the national and regional advertising sales revenue back to the clubs and teams. That money will help offset the operating costs that ultimately benefit families," according to Chris Westerkamp, Senior VP of Development for AYN.
Because of AYN’s unique revenue model advertisers will hold a special status with soccer families knowing they are the major beneficiaries of the money spent. Local companies can reach a coveted audience and support youth sports at the same time. In addition, we provide local merchants an opportunity to support their community clubs with a feature called Quick Ads which was developed right here in Rhode Island.
Steve Marmas, Director of Public Relations who manages Soccer Rhode Island’s website (www.soccer-ri.com) and Internet strategy commented, "The partnership with Active Youth Network is one of three initiatives to be announced in May. Soccer RI is taking a proactive role in creating value for our member teams. The Internet enables us to build a stronger youth soccer community in Rhode Island and deliver superior service to our members."
Active Youth Network will be presenting the program to the Soccer RI clubs over the next 30 – 45 days. AYN will offer membership options including providing clubs a free new website, or provide free consulting services to clubs that wish to keep their existing site but still want to earn revenue and be a part of the network.
The Active Youth Network website (www.activeyouthnetwork.com) has descriptions of the company and national advertising network, including two videos explaining its mission. The company is based in Colorado and Rhode Island. AYN’s Chief Designer and Creative Director, Steve Ruggieri designs all the team websites and company branding.
Nick Cavarra, AYN’s President, Founder and CEO lives in Littleton Colorado. Along with Westerkamp and Ruggieri they have more than seventy years experience working with major brand advertisers in Television and the Internet. Mr. Cavarra, who has worked extensively with youth soccer, came up with the idea for the company after seeing many families struggle financially to keep their kids active in the sport. "We all believe in the role youth sports plays in raising healthy successful kids and this is a great solution to keep kids active" says Mr. Cavarra.
