Registrar InformationNotes from the Feb 13, 2012, Super Liga Alignment Meeting Please remember to assign the Team Position (in GotSoccer, Club Tab, teams, click on a team) Position # is based on the Super Liga divisions: Position 2 = Classic (U16-U19), Classic Gold (U11-U14), Silver (U10) or Blue (U8) Position 3 = Classic Blue (U11-U14) or Blue (U10) Position 4 = Rhody (U11-U14) or White (U10)
Team Roster & Pass Deadlines and Rules The following information is for all Soccer Rhode Island teams regardless of the league in which the team is participating:
In order for a team packet to be accepted, the roster must have at least a head coach and at a minimum the number of players who play on the field for that age group plus one. Fees for late submission of rosters:
Please include the following in your spring team packets, Minimum of 3 copies of the roster Proof of age for players who do not have a " If a player played competitive or premier soccer for Soccer-RI last year and does not have the " A pass for each player on the team (can be unsigned) A pass for each coach, asst coach and team manager, signatures are required Before you send team packets to the office you will want to check the following items: 1.Coaches have the appropriate license (see SRI Policy #1506) U7/U8 coaches need a YM-1 or National Youth License U9/U10 coaches need a YM-2 or National Youth License U11/U12 coaches need an E Certificate U13 – U19 Premier & Division 1 coaches need a D License U13 – U19 Non Premier & Non-Division 1 coaches do not need licenses. 2.When you look at the roster list in the Registrar's Tab, Roster & ID sub-Tab, All players have a " Verified" next to their date of birth. Proof of age must accompany the roster for those who do not. See SRI Policy #3115 3.Run the Matching Player function. a.This will show you which players are dual rostered with RI premier clubs. b.This will also show you which players are rostered to teams in other clubs during the current soccer year. These players need to complete the Player Transfer Form. 4.Players who are not residents of RI will need to have completed the release to play out of state form for their state of residence. The release must be approved by their state of residence. See US Youth Soccer Player Rules #201 Section 2 5.3-Community Rule: All competitive travel teams in the U7 through U14 age groups are limited to 3 communities. See SRI Policy #2402.5 6.For U8 through U12 teams – is the team adhering to the Underage Player rule a.U12 and younger teams may NOT be comprised of more than 3 players who are two years younger than the team’s age group. In no case may U12 and younger teams be comprised of players who are three years or younger than the team’s age group. b.*U9 & U11 teams MUST be playing in U9 and U11 leagues. If not, the U9 & U11 teams will follow the play-up rule for the league age group in which the team is participating.
Premier Player Rule: The Premier Player rule is a Super Liga rule. This rule is not enforced by Soccer Rhode Island. You will be notified of any conflicts with this rule once the Super Liga has reviewed your rosters. You will want to make sure the number of Premier Players on the rosters does not exceed the limits allowed by Super Liga. All questions or concerns regarding the Premier Player rule should be directed to the RI Youth Super Liga. |
