 New England Soccer Jamboree

Welcome to the inaugural year of the New England Soccer Jamboree! The Soccer Jamboree format is designed to allow your team to play competitive games while focusing on developing your teams play. Our goal is for each team to be able to compete against teams from other states, eliminate league restrictions that keep teams from playing and establish a festival format that creates excitement around the games.

The play date format will be to have matches on three separate Saturday play dates.  On each of the three Saturdays, your team will play in double header games against different opponents. We are planning on playing one in April, May and June (dates and locations are pending).

This format is an opportunity for your team to participate in a format where the primary interest is in you and your team! We want your team to have the opportunity to play against teams from other states to allow you to focus on developing your team.

 Under-15 Boy’s and Girl’s National Team camps
again feature the common thread of
US Youth Soccer ODP

The Boy's and Girl's Under-15 National Teams have called in players for their first camps of the year and US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (US Youth Soccer ODP) players account for the majority of players selected.

Of the 24 players named to the U-15 Girl's roster,23 are US Youth Soccer ODP players. The group, lead by coach Mike Dickey, consists of 20 players born in 1995 and four in 1996 that will meet in Sunrise, Fla., Nov. 19-25 for training and three matches. The team will play the US Youth Soccer ODP 94 Girls from Regions I and III, as well as Florida Atlantic University. They will also scrimmage the Norwegian College of Elite Sport during the camp. The roster features players from 18 states and is the beginning of the cycle to qualify for the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.

The U-15 Boys, underway in Carson, Calif., at the Home Depot Center, called in 36 players, 25 of which are US Youth Soccer ODP players. The camp will conclude on Oct. 31 and of the group called to Carson, all were born in 1996 and 24 attended the final U-14 camp of 2009/10 under coach Manny Schellscheidt. Jim Barlow will take the reins for the U-15 cycle.

US Youth Soccer ODP, established in 1977, is the original Olympic development program in the United States. Formed to identify a pool of players in each age group from which a National Team could be selected for international competition; to provide high-level training to benefit and enhance the development of players at all levels; and, through the use of carefully selected and licensed coaches, develop a mechanism for the exchange of ideas and curriculum to improve all levels of coaching.

Selected players are exposed to the nation's top coaches from collegiate institutions, U.S. Soccer and the professional leagues. Programs exist in each state and with competitions such as the US Youth Soccer ODP Championships, Interregional Training/Competition, Regional Camps and International play. US Youth Soccer ODP continues to lead the way in elite player identification and development. US Youth Soccer ODP is an approved program of the U.S. Soccer Federation.
